Casa Paterno is a beautiful, recently restored, traditional farmhouse in a private setting on the south facing slope of a peaceful valley, sitting among its own olive grove, copse and vineyard. Our favourite thing about this property is how spectacular its views are, everyone who arrives is struck by how amazing they are.
Unfortunately, photographs cannot truly convey the atmosphere of the house and environs and do not do justice to the spectacular views of the Sibillini mountains or the stunning evening skies!
There is plenty of space for leisurely meals for 10 people on the covered terrace or in the shade of an adjacent overhanging tree. Wide steps lead down to the large sun terrace by the 12m x 6m pool with level lawn and another shade tree beyond. From the terrace, you can watch over the children in the pool. The olive grove and vineyard nestle below the house, waiting to be explored, and a vine-covered sitting out area beckons come Aperitivo time!
You enter the property via a private gate and there is parking behind the property.
On the ground floor there is a spacious kitchen, well equipped with everything you need to cook meals with your friends and family and a utility room with cupboards and an extra fridge freezer. The kitchen has a door leading to the outside covered veranda which comfortably seats 10 people and also leads to a large dining area with a table and seating for 12 people. On the ground floor there is also a toilet, a games room with a table tennis table and lots of boardgames and a living room with comfortable sofas and tv and dvd.
On the first floor there are two large master bedrooms with equally large ensuite bathrooms (bath, walk in shower, basin, wc and bidet). On the top floor, two generous king-size rooms - separated by a library landing for privacy – both share a shower room.
As you can see from this description there is plenty of space for 10 – 12 people without feeling crowded.
Casa Paterno enjoys a perfect, serene location - disturbed only by birdsong and the occasional tinkling of goat bells. Yet, stunning medieval hilltop villages, world-class restaurants and vineyards, roman ruins and a local town with all amenities and fantastic boutiques are all only a 15 minute drive away.
