If you've always wanted to learn Italian, or you're already learning Italian but want to improve quickly, what could be better than to learn Italian in style in a luxury villa in the heart of rural Italy.

There is no better way to learn Italian than by being in Italy, and our one week course is designed to improve your spoken Italian, help you to communicate in day to day situations and introduce you to local people who, through conversation, will dramatically improve your understanding of spoken Italian.

The week is a combination of learning and fun, with short, focused sessions each day in a teaching environment – just enough to give you the words, phrases and structure to use during the day’s more practical application of the language, and to give you the building blocks necessary to develop your Italian further.  Each guest may be at a different level of proficiency – from a complete novice to almost an expert in the language.  Whatever your level, our teacher will cater for your requirements, and you will be given plenty of opportunity for further development.

The practical application of the language may take many forms.  A trip to a local vineyard perhaps, for an introduction to fine Italian wines and a discussion about grapes and wine making techniques, or a sight seeing trip to a local medieval walled town to learn something of the history – all in Italian, of course. Or perhaps one day, a local lady will come and demonstrate the art of pasta making - and she won't speak or understand a word of English but matching the actions to the words makes comprehension so much easier.

Evenings will either be spent visiting some of the lovely local restaurants – where the staff will only speak to you in Italian, and there is no such things as a tourist menu – or at Santo Stefano where local people may be invited to join us for dinner to improve your conversation skills.

But this is a holiday without pressure.  You may speak as much Italian as you like, and you will be encouraged to do so.  But you will be supported at all times by our Italian speaking (English) organiser, who will be on hand to help you whenever needed.
