The Macerata Opera Festival 2011 will, as always, be a true Italian experience - and if you combine you love of opera with a holiday in a luxury villa in the heart of rural Italy, you can be promised a unique experience.

La Chiesa di Santo Stefano offers stylish and sophisticated accommodation, and is situated just 20 minutes from the town of Macerata which hosts one of Italy’s premier opera festivals in July and August each year. The operas take place at the magnificent neoclassical Sferisterio – an open air elliptical sweep of colonnaded balconies, built in the 1820s as a ball court - right in the heart of Macerata.

You may choose to simply incorporate a trip to the opera in a family or group holiday, and make your own arrangements, or we can arrange a full Opera Lovers week, to include wonderful opera, delicious meals and all transport. We can make each opera evening into a real event, with Champagne and antipasti before the opera, transport to and from the Sferisterio, followed by a typical Italian dinner party with good local wines and delicious food. 

During the daytime, you can enjoy the villa, improve your golf on our 5 hole course, laze by the pool or enjoy some of the delights of the Le Marche region.
